The Emotional Rollercoaster: Croquet

September 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment

If you’ve never had the heart-shattering experience of being the victim of a Roquet and the resulting Croquet, consider yourself lucky. With so many mean spirited rules in Croquet, your relaxing game of hit the ball through the wickets can quickly delve into a battle for survival when played with uncaring souls.

Croquet: Family Fun

Lawn sports like croquet are great for the reason that you don’t have to run a 5-minute mile to be able to participate. Young ones can grab a mallet and whack their ball around for hours, squealing and laughing throughout the day. Just be sure to watch your shins when walking near Charlie as he’s speeding around the yard!

Great with Laid Back Friends

While hanging out with your friends at a barbecue, it’s nice to have something to play that isn’t overly physical.  While playing some flag football or launching a Frisbee around is fun for many, sometimes croquet is the perfect balance of fun and competition that nearly no one can refuse. When planning events with a nice chunk of grass, consider bringing along a croquet set for the laid back crowd!

Big in England

While it is seen sometimes in the US, England really enjoys their croquet. Even displacing campgrounds and other recreation areas to make room for more croquet space! So if you’re love croquet, don’t forget to play a round while in the old country!
